If you missed the Grammys, I recommend watching the first 30 minutes to see the best parts. Alicia Keys was wonderful as the host; her passion for music shone as she spoke about the performers, and during her monologues. She brought great energy to the show. Lady Gaga, Jada Pinkett Smith, J.Lo and MICHELLE OBAMA were, hands down, the highlight of the whole show. Camila Cabello’s opening performance was amazing and I especially loved Ricky Martin’s appearance.
Well, well.. here we are again. Another year and another award show season. Colour was brought back to the red carpet this year, after the Me Too Movement took to last years red carpet by wearing black to stand in solidarity for workplace sexual harassment. This movement continues to gain momentum and was represented again last night with celebrities wearing their Me Too pins and wristbands.
Tomorrow is the first day of Fall! I will finally get over being robbed of a proper summer and embrace the foliage, pumpkin spice everything, and my absolute favourite – Fall Fashion. Fashion Weeks in New York, London, Milan, and soon, Paris, have me buzzing for a shopping trip.
When did May get here? I was so caught up in Spring finally arriving that I almost forgot about the first Monday in May! Luckily, I have social media (and a roommate) for a friendly reminder. So I skipped my barre class, cracked open a bottle of rosé, and glued myself to all the Met Gala coverage.
