Tomorrow is the first day of Fall! I will finally get over being robbed of a proper summer and embrace the foliage, pumpkin spice everything, and my absolute favourite – Fall Fashion. Fashion Weeks in New York, London, Milan, and soon, Paris, have me buzzing for a shopping trip.
For anyone reading who doesn’t quite know how Fashion week works; designers preview their collections for the season ahead – not current. So for Fall Fashion weeks, they are showcasing their 2019 Spring/Summer collections. It’s a great way to spot trends for the season ahead, but if you’re looking for inspiration for the season in front of you – looking to people’s street style is the way to go. Here are some of the trends I’m keen to add to my wardrobe this Fall/Winter.
This look is so sexy, and I dig it. I think this might be a right place, right time outfit, but I am hoping there is something I can wear this to. A Christmas party possibly?
Leopard print is a neutral in my eyes. It goes with any colour and you are suddenly fierce AF when you add it to your outfit. I likely won’t go full leopard trouser, but I am all about leopard printed accessories. Maybe even a blouse.
Another trend I’m super excited about. I absolutely love jewelled tones, my house is decorated around jewelled tones. I think anybody can pull off a jewelled tone colour, it is so complimentary. Again, going head to toe isn’t for me but I am very into a blazer or accessories. Hack: Accessories are a brilliant way to incorporate a bold trend without going overboard or breaking the bank.
There are so many ways you can wear this trend. It can range from subtle and tasteful to edgy and risqué. I personally am a fan of the latter. Mind how opaque the material is to achieve the look you’re going for.
Snake Skin Boots
Oh baby! These are on the top of my list. I guess I have a thing for animal print right now. I have seen so many different ways people are wearing snake skin boots and they always look so great. Skirt, dress, pants, wear them with anything. *Cue Monica justifying her new boots to Chandler scene*
As floral is a common staple for Spring; tartan, houndstooth, plaid, and gingham, are usually a staple for Fall. While I yearn for a Burberry trench one day, I will have to settle for a skirt for now. I really like this one below from H&M, paired with some nylons, and a chunky sweater. So cozy, so Fall.
I think I’m going to embrace this first rainy Fall weekend cozied up inside, doing some online shopping :)
