Another award show, another best dressed list. There was a lot of variety I thought this year – I couldn’t quite spot one particular trend or style. Different colours, cuts, and styles to make the red carpet a whole lot more interesting!
Michelle Dockery in Alexandre Vauthier
This was my favourite look of the whole night. This dress compliments her figure impeccably and a perfect hairstyle to show off the beautiful upper bodice.
Taylor Swift in Donna Karan
Ask and you shall receive! Tay took a chance and looked elegant in eggplant. So happy to see her step out of her comfort zone and pull it off- keep it up girl!
Amy Adams in Marchesa
Oh to ever get a chance to wear a Marchesa gown – they are my absolute favourite red carpet designer! There is always at least one celeb who makes it onto best dressed lists wearing Marchesa. Amy Adams channels old Hollywood glam in this mermaid gown with an up-do and finger waves. Brilliant.
Jennifer Garner in Vivienne Westwood
Good thing Jen dressed as the wife of Best Director. I think the look speaks for itself: she looks stunning.
Emily Blunt in Michael Kors
Holy knockout! Emily Blunt looks unreal in this gold Michael Kors cut out dress. I could not stop gawking over it. Maybe her and Michelle Dockery are actually tied for my favourite look.
Jessica Chastain in Calvin Klein
Bleh! No thank you. I think Jess needs some help filling out that dress a little more to pull it off better, but the colour doesn’t do anything for her either. She could have chosen many other colours to compliment that gorgeous red hair of hers, which also looks like it hasn’t been washed in several days.
Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Murad
Ok this isn’t so much a worst dressed, but a ‘I’m-so-bored-seeing-her-in-the-same-dress’. Yes, her body looks bomb: yes, her hair is perfect: and yes, her make up compliments the whole look, but if I see her in one more sparkly, body-con dress I’m going to scream.
Sienna Miller in Erdem
This looks like something your children made for you in art class. The shape doesn’t do anything for her, and I just don’t think it was Golden Globe appropriate. Glam it up a little!
Kaley Cuoco in Zuhair Murad
She almost had it! The dress is lovely but she went over the top with the make up. She might have been ok with the lip colour but the eyes are too dark and unfortunately that’s all I can look at.
I had a hard time picking worst dressed, and narrowing my best dressed list. For the most part I thought everyone looked fabulous!
